International Asset Protection Planning: Jurisdictional Considerations and Compliance
About This Course
This program will provide guidance on establishing robust, cross-border asset protection strategies while maintaining full legal and tax compliance. It blends legal structure selection, jurisdictional risk assessment, and mandatory reporting frameworks to create transparent, defensible plans.
U.S. compliance regimes for cross-border plans and the next steps from substance planning to voluntary disclosures will be discussed. Attendees will be given practical guidance on selecting jurisdictions and structures. Attorneys will learn about jurisdiction due diligence, U.S. compliance obligations for reporting and tax rules, and a multi jurisdictional strategy to help enhance legal insulation and risk diversification.
This course is designed for attorneys with some to moderate levels of experience. Attorneys and financial advisors advising cross-border clients, high net worth individuals and family office professionals, and company owners with international assets will benefit from this course.
