The average cost to remediate the breach was $7.5 million. Third parties are companies that support an organization to help it perform critical functions. In the case of law firms that can be the processing and storage of client data. Lawyers are ethically bound to protect their client’s data and must perform proper due diligence on third parties that have access to client information. What constitutes adequate diligence?
