Modern Ethical Misconduct: Appropriate Courtroom Behavior

About This Course
This course examines ABA rules 8.4 and 3.8 through four cases. The cases focus on lawyer misconduct as laid out in the ABA rules, specifically conduct intended to disrupt a tribunal, use of profanities, conduct in the courtroom, and mishandling of exculpatory evidence. The following four cases examine the importance of lawyer conduct through an overview of the relevant facts in each case, a review of the ABA rules, and a discussion of relevant ethical codes.
