Hemp Updates 2024: State and Federal Law Catching up to Industry

Attend this program and learn about the evolution of the hemp industry and the regulations the industry must abide by. The discussion will include what is working, what is not, and where operators are still operating in legal gray areas or entirely afoul of the law. Attendees will also learn about the benefits and shortfalls of hemp products. The lecture will conclude with a discussion on the upcoming Federal Farm Bill and the likely changes we will see to regulations at the federal and state levels.

Attorneys will come away with an enhanced knowledge of the controlled substances act, hemp industry regulation, marijuana industry regulation, the difference between the two, hemp’s many uses, and state and federal responses to novel cannabinoid products.
