This course provides attorneys with essential information and tips on starting and maintaining their law practices. There are several common factors and challenges in running a practice, and it is important to have a comprehensive understanding of the most relevant business concepts and practices.

This program will include business marketing strategies, fee agreements and billing practices, and case management techniques. Mr. DeMatteo will also demonstrate how a number of different modern technologies can be effectively implemented to streamline a business. While not an ethics program, this course will consider ethical requirements. 

New attorneys and experienced attorneys who are setting up their practices or entering managerial roles would particularly benefit from the program.

  • Determine how to effectively and ethically communicate and market your practice.
  • Discuss how websites and social media can be used to promote your practice. 
  • Explore the importance and types of fee agreements.
