About The Lecturer
Megan Moore is a lifelong risk taker, storyteller, and educator. She is a certified professional coach and licensed attorney with a background in education. After 12 successful years practicing law, including 2 years running a solo practice, Megan pivoted to Megan Moore, Inc., where she specializes in supporting high-achieving attorneys and leadership teams to identify and achieve what matters most to them.
Megan graduated from the University of Florida in 1996, where she earned her B.A. in English, with honors, and a minor in Secondary Education. She also took numerous theater and public speaking classes, which have served her well throughout her career.
After eight years working in the field of education, Megan headed to the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she earned numerous awards and scholarships, published two legislative articles, and was the Chief Symposium Editor for the McGeorge Law Review. She graduated in 2008, with Great Distinction and Order of the Coif.
From 2008 – 2012, Megan was an associate at Best, Best & Krieger, LLP, and in 2012, she transitioned to an associate position at Young, Minney & Corr, LLP, when she opened the firm’s San Diego office. Megan became a partner at Young, Minney & Corr in 2017.
In 2019, Megan launched The Law Offices of Megan M. Moore, where she continued representing public education clients. After two successful years in solo practice, Megan decided to pivot into a career where she could use her listening, advocacy, and education skills to inspire growth and change in others.
Megan earned her professional coaching certification from McLaren Coaching in January 2021, while simultaneously launching Megan Moore, Inc. Megan partners with her clients on leadership development, strategic planning, and career growth to they can pivot, promote, or profit from the work they do.
Megan currently serves as the 2026 Chair of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Division for the San Diego County Bar Association, as well as a Board Member. She serves on Elder Help San Diego’s Governing Board. Previously, Megan was the 2017 and 2018 President of the McGeorge Alumni Association, and the 2024 and 2025 Chair of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Leadership Academy.
Megan believes in the power of the right question and takes a stand for her clients using curiosity as a foundation for creating change. She is a regular speaker for legal and educational organizations. She brings her humor, vulnerability, and frankness to engage with audiences of all sizes.
