About The Lecturer

Tammy has over 20 years of experience in executive coaching, leadership development, career consulting, program design, and workshop facilitation. She partners with organizations in developing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and programs to transform corporate cultures where employees feel safe and welcome to bring their whole, authentic selves to work. She is certified in the Inclusive Leader 360TM and the Global Inclusion ScorecardTM. Tammy is a master coach to C-suite leaders. She is especially adept at empowering leaders to use their power, influence, and position to create a culture of belonging that drives business results. Tammy is also a well-sought-after group facilitator, keynote speaker, and panelist. She is known for bringing positive energy and creating safe spaces for people to be vulnerable, transparent, and honest, where she says empathy is birthed. She approaches all her work with the end in mind – a greater sense of appreciation for the individual and the team as a whole to drive positive outcomes. She provides one-on-one coaching, group coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and retreats to organizations that desire to build strong, effective teams.

A world traveler, Tammy has visited over 15 countries and lived in Mexico and England; she speaks fluent Spanish and brings a wealth of knowledge about cross-cultural skills, cultural humility, inclusion, and understanding of the traditions and customs that define a culture. She loves to help organizations transform their corporate cultures into places where all employees feel like they belong. These transformations happen when leaders commit to and do the work to become inclusive leaders.

Tammy has successfully established herself across several industries within Fortune 500 companies with an emphasis on law, engineering, academia, technology, faith-based organizations, and nonprofits. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her Bachelor of Science in Economics & Business Administration with a double major in Spanish from Saint Mary’s College of California. She serves on the University of Notre Dame’s Board for the Sacramento Club as the Diversity Coordinator and the Advisory Board for California State University–East Bay-Transformative Leadership in Disruptive Times.

A first-generation Latina, Tammy is proud to serve as the Executive Director of LatinaVIDA, a nonprofit organization with the mission to empower and equip the next generation of Latina executives, and professionals of color, to advance in their careers through culturally relevant leadership development. She is a strategic partner to organizations seeking to attract, retain and promote their diverse talent.
