Attorney well-being is important for a lawyer's health and competency. This course provides information on the attorney well-being movement and its development to help attorneys improve well-being. Knowing the many facets of wellness and the challenges to it can help attorneys understand the steps they can take to create more balance.

This program aims to explore the foundations of the attorney well-being movement and its multiple facets. Attendees will also examine well-being in relation to ethical duties and professionalism and how mindfulness can help improve well-being.

This program is for attorneys with any level of experience and those interested in improving their well-being.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the foundations of the attorney well-being movement, the elements that comprise attorney well-being, and the root causes
  • Explore how attorney well-being impacts a lawyer’s ethical duties and level of professionalism
  • Examine current statistics on attorney well-being to help inform the attendees’ awareness of their own and the profession's current well-being and what needs to change to provide quality legal services
  • Assess how mindfulness can help improve attorney well-being and why meditation is complex for lawyers
  • Create goals to improve attorney well-being
