Corporate Sustainability and ESG Compliance for U.S. Companies

About This Course
Attorneys should attend this program to better understand the evolution of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance in the U.S. and to be better prepared to assist their organizations with navigating the evolving landscape.
Attendees will learn how ESG is defined and overview a brief history of it. Participants will review relevant disclosure frameworks and overview some current and pending U.S. state and federal regulations, including greenhouse gas (GHG) and climate related financial risk disclosures.
This course is designed for ESG attorneys, corporate attorneys, labor and employment attorneys, and environmental attorneys. Attorneys with little to some experience in environmental compliance and are interested are encouraged to attend.
Learning Objectives:
- Define ESG and understand how it fits within the evolution of U.S. Corporate law
- Explore ESG disclosure frameworks in order to gain a deeper understanding of them
- Understand the current and pending regulatory risks associated with ESG disclosures
