Today, she is Counsel at TD, where she negotiates enterprise-wide contracts that involve counseling on consumer protection, privacy, security, compliance, data, interagency guidance on third-party relationships, and third-party risk management in the US and Canada. Flora’s work draws on her extensive experience in counseling vendor-funded companies and global ad agencies in areas such as advertising, marketing, privacy, security compliance, data, product development, corporate law, employment matters, and media planning and buying.
Flora has counseled on a broad spectrum of advertising and marketing regulations, including FTC guidelines, generative AI, TikTok, SAG-AFTRA, CAN-SPAM Act, privacy, and security.
Flora has developed and delivered targeted training modules covering traditional and digital marketing, media campaigns, content creation, sweepstakes, promotions, sponsorships, social media, and influencer and AdTech/MarTech agreements.
Flora has created and implemented internal policies on generative AI, privacy, information security, and employee handbooks, fostering a culture of compliance across various departments.
Flora has collaborated effectively with cross-functional teams, including client services, marketing, campaign management, product, engineering, information security, operations, and HR, to identify regulatory risks and ensure compliance in digital marketing services.
Flora has implemented robust FTC and privacy compliance strategies aligned with corporate objectives and risk management practices, ensuring adherence to advertising and privacy regulations.
Flora has conducted in-depth risk assessments, developed mitigation strategies, and provided clear, actionable insights to C-Suite executives.
Flora has managed and resolved legal disputes with clients, talent, agents, and law firms, skillfully negotiating ownership terms, liability caps, and advertising, security, and privacy provisions with various stakeholders.
Flora has advised on and reviewed advertising copy in diverse industries such as finance, beauty, pharma, entertainment, healthcare, and sports, focusing on false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and right of publicity issues.
Flora graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a JD and SUNY Binghamton with a BA. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Massachusetts. She has a CIPP/US certification. Flora is affiliated with the New York City Bar Association, L-Suite, and LCLD.
Outside of Flora’s practice of law, she enjoys running, swimming, and traveling.
