North Carolina CLE Deadline: February 28
North Carolina CLE Requirement: 24 credit hours every 2 years*
- 18 hours General maximum
- At least 4 hours of Ethics/Professionalism
- At least 1 hour of Technology
- At least 1 hour of Professional Well-Being
*IMPORTANT CHANGES*
- For 2024 only, attorneys admitted in odd-numbered years will have a one-year compliance period with a 12-hour CLE requirement (from 3/1/2024 to 2/28/2025). Attorneys admitted in even-numbered years will start their compliance under the new two-year cycle with a 24-hour CLE requirement (from 3/1/2024 to 2/28/2026)
- A minimum of 4 hours of Ethics are required under the 24-hour CLE requirement. The new 1 Professional Well-Being hour replaces the previous 1 Mental Health/Substance Abuse hour
- The compliance deadline date has been changed to February 28th
