Course Description:
This program is APPROVED for Live New Jersey CLE Credit. Are you a newly admitted attorney looking to satisfy your New Jersey CLE requirement, or an attorney needing to complete your full live credit requirement? Our New Jersey Live CLE Day will allow you to fulfill 12 live credits — meeting the full live CLE requirement in one convenient day.

Designed specifically to meet the needs of newly admitted attorneys and experienced practitioners alike, this program ensures you satisfy the live portion of your New Jersey CLE obligation while covering a range of relevant and practical topics delivered by experienced lecturers.

New Jersey CLE Requirements:

• General CLE Requirement: Every active lawyer in New Jersey must complete 24 credit hours every two years, including at least:

  • 5 credits in ethics and/or professionalism, and

  • 2 credits in diversity, inclusion, and the elimination of bias.

• Live Credit Requirement: At least 12 of the 24 credits must be completed through live instruction (such as via Zoom, webcast, or in-person programs).

Newly Admitted Lawyers:
During their first full two-year compliance period, newly admitted attorneys must complete 16 credit hours in at least 6 of the following 12 subject areas:

• New Jersey basic estate administration

• New Jersey basic estate planning

• New Jersey civil or criminal trial preparation

• New Jersey family law practice

• New Jersey real estate closing procedures

• New Jersey attorney trust and business accounting fundamentals (at least 1 credit required)

• New Jersey landlord/tenant practice

• New Jersey municipal court practice

• New Jersey law office management

• New Jersey administrative law

• New Jersey workers’ compensation law

• New Jersey labor and employment law

By participating in this live program, you will complete 12 live credits and cover a significant portion of the coursework required for newly admitted attorneys, including mandatory subjects.

New Jersey CLE Compliance Deadlines:

• Birthdays in January–June: Deadline is December 31 of even-numbered years.

• Birthdays in July–December: Deadline is December 31 of odd-numbered years.

• Newly admitted attorneys may have a one-year transitional reporting period depending on their admission date and birth month
