About The Lecturer

Melinda Maddox, Esq., is a solo practitioner who has represented clients at every stage of civil and criminal litigation for 24 years. In addition to practicing in federal and state court, Ms. Maddox was appointed by the Presiding Judge to manage courthouse compliance for the Mobile Municipal Court. She has represented clients who are victims of domestic violence for the Legal Services of Alabama and has presided over criminal trials for Brewton Municipal Court.  Ms. Maddox has been a member of the Alabama State Bar Association Ethics Education Committee since 2004 and she has been a volunteer mediator and educator of judges and practitioners for the Alabama State Bar Association Committee On Alternative Dispute Resolution since 1998.
