About The Lecturer
Pat Jennings is an experienced trial attorney who started as a line prosecutor in Baltimore, Maryland. Since that time, he has successfully litigated cases as a prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, civil defense attorney, and plaintiffs’ attorney. The majority of his practice focuses on plaintiffs’ side civil rights, employment discrimination, and personal injury litigation.
Patrick Jennings graduated from Boston College with an undergraduate degree in Political Science. Following a few election cycles' worth of work on political campaigns and non-profit advocacy, Pat attended Northeastern University School of Law. He began his legal career as a judicial clerk in the District of Columbia before spending nearly a decade as a prosecutor in Baltimore, Maryland. Pat is now a Partner at The Ment Law Group, a boutique litigation firm based in Hartford, Connecticut, where he appears in courtrooms across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast advocating for the interests of his clients.
Patrick Jennings and Michael Turiello have been working together since their first day as prosecutors in August of 2011. Together, they have amassed more than 150 bench trials and more than 75 jury trials. They recently tried a case together in Suffolk County Superior Court with a pre-trial offer of $45,000.00 and achieved a plaintiff’s verdict of nearly $800,000.00 in damages and have submitted attorneys’ fees for an additional award over $1,000,000.00. Their experiences conducting and observing trials over the last 15 years have informed their trial tactics, and they are excited to share their unique and interesting perspective with course participants.
