About The Lecturer
Gary Green is Chairman of Sidkoff, Pincus & Green P.C., an elite, small law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that was founded in 1958. Green has been practicing law since 1972. He is admitted to the bars of the United States Supreme Court, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, and has appeared before numerous federal trial and appellate courts as well as state courts.
Green is regularly involved in trial and litigation matters in federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies, and in front of arbitrators and mediators. He also has deep experience in appellate assignments in various state and federal appellate courts. Since he is devoted to the principal that from the moment he signs on to a lawsuit, every significant legal issue in a case must be researched thoroughly to be prepared for the ever-changing status of the law, his legal research at the trial level often pays dividends on appeal. Green recognizes the issues that might be the subject of appellate briefs early in the case and creates and preserves a trial record that will be valuable in the event of an appeal.
In the area of financing and raising money for growing companies, Green has networked clients to sources of investment and loans on the one hand, and on the other, has participated in drafting business development plans, complex contract documents and conducting due diligence to vet potential deals offered to his clients. He also has devoted substantial effort over the years to helping clients identify and pursue strategic partners.
Because Green is fortunate enough to be the lawyer for some extraordinarily affluent individuals, he has years of practice in dealing with banks and outside advisors, managing trusts, overseeing foreign and domestic accounts, and in helping our clients respond to the business opportunities and legal challenges growing out of the myriad of businesses they own.
A significant number of Green’s clients own companies that provide sales and representation services for manufacturers. In the context of drafting agreements, these clients have retained Green to negotiate with institutions, their partners and others. They have similarly sought his advice on strategies to avoid litigation and have retained him when litigation was desirable or unavoidable.
Green represents clients in claims involving contract issues, breach of fiduciary duty, shareholder disputes, insurance bad faith, intellectual property, trademark infringement, and misappropriation of trade secrets. In addition, he takes on cases involving wrongful termination, whistle blowing, personal injuries, medical malpractice, and mass tort. Green also handles divorce, custody, and support matters in high net worth cases, and his extensive experience in business disputes has provided him with the background necessary in marital estate cases where one spouse is an owner of a company, and the value of that entity is in dispute.
