About The Lecturer

Dan Goldfine is a business-focused litigator with a demonstrated history of resolving difficult legal challenges and prevailing before and at trial. With more than 25 years of experience handling class action and other complex litigation, including matters involving antitrust, insurance coverage, RICO, consumer fraud, and consumer protection laws, Dan understands how litigation risks impact a business and aims to mitigate these risks to the fullest extent possible.

Dan has defended companies and executives in federal and state courts in more than 40 states. He is based in Dickinson Wright’s Phoenix office. 

Dan has also represented companies, executives, and independent directors in government and internal investigations of allegations of managerial, officer, or board wrongdoing. His background as a business owner and federal prosecutor provides him with a unique perspective which he uses to bring creative courtroom solutions to his clients.

Before joining private practice, Dan was a Trial Attorney with the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice. Before joining the DOJ, he clerked for the Honorable Gerald W. Heaney, who sat on the 8th Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.

Dan graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School after obtaining an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
