About The Lecturer

Nicole Saunders is a Deputy General Counsel at the Florida Department of Education. In that role, she serves as the lead attorney for the State of Florida’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services programs. Nicole began her career as a Corporate Associate for a Fortune 500 fintech company. She then honed her litigation skills, first as an Assistant State Attorney, then as an associate at a law firm, where she practiced exclusively in federal court. Immediately before joining the Florida Department of Education, Nicole worked as a law clerk for a Florida Supreme Court Justice. In her spare time, Nicole volunteers in her community. She strives to improve the legal profession by serving as the Chair of the Minorities in the Profession Committee for the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. She is also a sought-after CLE presenter for the Florida Bar, Lawline, Quimbee, and MilesTales Publishing, among other companies.

Nicole graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2016, where she was awarded for her outstanding pro bono work. She is admitted to practice in Florida, including the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Middle Districts of Florida.
