This course will provide the general practitioner with evaluation tools to help determine an admiralty case and a basic jurisdictional outline for determining whether the remedies that pertain to the admiralty area of law are available to your client which could result in greater recovery for both you and your client. Take a deep dive into the special features that adhere to the benefit of “wards of admiralty”.

Learn how to determine Sailor or Crewmember status. Discover remedies regarding personal injury including Jones Act negligence, maintenance and cure and seaworthiness. This course is designed for lawyers with introductory or intermediate experience in this area of law who wish to further their practice and skills, as well as general practitioners who wish to develop transferable skills.
