Estate planning is a dynamic area of law that deals with a wide spectrum of individuals with varied economic backgrounds and family structures. Through this course, practitioners will gain problem-solving skills that will equip them to handle different types of clients and their unique needs.
 
This program will provide an overview of estate-planning concepts and some of the available tools. The course will cover tax-driven planning techniques and provide suggestions on how to gain the most from the information-gathering process, including how to fully understand the client’s concerns and goals. Included is a comprehensive estate planning worksheet to assist in collecting information from the client. In addition, discover how to take a holistic approach to creating an estate plan and draft the most appropriate plan for each particular client.

Attention will also be given to probate avoidance, transactional costs, insurance, and business implications.
