This Course
Form I-9s are used as a way to document employee identity and work authorization and are being treated with increasing seriousness by the federal government. This course will define “authorized workers” and describe the electronic system that enables employers to match information about employees with official government records. The material will cover the inspection process of Form I-9s, general information about Form I-9 compliance failure, and the reverification process. The course will also discuss discrimination as it relates to work authorization and Form I-9s, including information about Title VII as it relates to Form I-9s.
