Current Legal Ethics Issues

This ethics course will cover six important Model Rules, MR 1.8, 8.1, 8.4, 1.7, 1.9, and 3.3, while also examining specific applications of these rules in recent cases or legal incidents. Mr. O’Donnell, will discuss the various examples relevant to the Model Rules and pose questions to class participants about the material. The central ethics topics in this course include conflicts of interest, bar admissions and disciplinary matters, misconduct, duties to former clients, and candor toward the tribunal.
