This Course
Mr. O’Donnell establishes a framework for navigating the nuances of motor vehicle cases from inception to prosecution. It will equip participants with the skills to navigate insurance carriers, tort reform statutes, and document complex medical treatment plans and evaluations.
Attendees will be prepared to evaluate conflicts of interest and develop a strong understanding of “consentable” versus “nonconsentable” conflicts. Model Rule of Professional Conduct 1.7 and Model Rule 1.0(e) will serve as a baseline for determining when and how to inform clients of conflicts of interest. Mr. O’Donnell, an expert in litigation, will also cover establishing satisfactory prima facie evidence, including how to make a prima facie showing of duty, breach, causation, and damages. Participants will learn critical skills for quickly familiarizing themselves with their client, the accident scene, and settlement expectations.
This program is intended for attorneys and legal professionals interested in personal injury and negligence advocacy cases. This course covers a wide range of conceptually rigorous and straightforward aspects of motor vehicle torts.
