The importance of aviation law and litigation often goes unnoticed or unrecognized, even inside the legal world. Yet aviation law is vital in many parts of daily life, both locally and internationally. Join experienced aviation attorney Dayan Hochman-Vigil on a tour through the basic laws, regulations, hot issues, and prospects of aviation law.

Attendees will learn the basics of the legal concepts that form aviation law and the importance of those concepts and aviation in daily life. The course will also discuss aviation regulations, the organizations in charge of regulation, and a rundown on aviation litigation. The course will close with a discussion on the biggest issues in aviation, e.g., spacecraft certification and oversight, and we look forward to seeing future aviation prospects.

Dayan M. “Day” Hochman-Vigil is a native New Mexican born and raised in Santa Fe. Day received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Colorado College in Italian Studies and French Language in 2007. Day received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law (UNM SOL) in 2011, during which time she received several honors, including the Carlos F.
