Course Description:

This program is APPROVED for LIVE New Jersey CLE Credit. Looking to satisfy a portion of your New Jersey CLE requirement as a newly admitted attorney? Or looking to satisfy your part of your Live New Jersey requirement? Our New Jersey Live CLE Day will allow you to fulfill 6 of the live credit requirement. Designed specifically to meet the needs of newly admitted attorneys. By attending this program, you will satisfy the live portion of your NJ CLE requirement.

New Jersey Live CLE Day (6 LIVE Credits)

With a variety of relevant course topics covered by experienced lecturers, our New Jersey Compliance Day is designed to ensure you meet the state's requirements for newly admitted lawyers while making your CLE experience both engaging and convenient.

New Jersey CLE Requirement:

• General CLE Requirement: Every active lawyer in New Jersey is required to complete 24 credit hours every 2 years, with at least 5 credits in ethics and/or professionalism. This includes 2 credits in diversity, inclusion, and the elimination of bias.

• Newly Admitted Lawyers: During the first full two-year compliance period, newly admitted lawyers must complete 16 credit hours in at least 6 of the following 12 subject areas:

  1. New Jersey basic estate administration
  2. New Jersey basic estate planning
  3. New Jersey civil or criminal trial preparation
  4. New Jersey family law practice
  5. New Jersey real estate closing procedures
  6. New Jersey attorney trust and business accounting fundamentals (at least 1 credit required)
  7. New Jersey landlord/tenant practice
  8. New Jersey municipal court practice
  9. New Jersey law office management
  10. New Jersey administrative law
  11. New Jersey workers’ compensation law
  12. New Jersey labor and employment law

By participating in this live program, you will ensure that you meet a portion of the 16-credit coursework requirement, including mandatory topics for newly admitted attorneys.

New Jersey CLE Deadline:

• Compliance deadlines are based on the attorney’s birthday:
  • Birthdays in January-June: Deadline is December 31 of even-numbered years.
  • Birthdays in July-December: Deadline is December 31 of odd-numbered years.

Newly admitted attorneys may have a one-year transitional reporting period depending on their admission date and birth month.
