The Sports Industry is dealing with an array of questions and matters that require exceptional skills and knowledge of those representing the athletes. As the industry adapts to the current changes and the new "normal", the representation of athletes is undergoing significant changes. Mr. Haberman will discuss the nuances of representing athletes in the landscape of a pandemic. He begins this course by defining the initial items for an agent to think about from the start and the details of creating a favorable agreement, including the terms and degree of exclusivity. Additionally,
Mr. Haberman will address the responsibilities of the agent including the division of earnings and compensation. Moreover, he will provide a thorough explanation of the importance of being knowledgeable of applicable laws, tournament rules, regulations, and any national laws. Lastly, Mr. Haberman will discuss terminating a contract, the non-exclusivity of services of agents, the provisions, and any additional miscellaneous
items to consider when representing athletes and navigating the ever-changing circumstances of a global pandemic.
