Attorneys that attend this program will receive an overview of conducting a divorce case, with or without children, from start to finish. Attorneys will learn the basic elements of a divorce complaint and answer, how to conduct discovery in a divorce case, how to get information from their own clients in order to draft a settlement offer, and the necessary analysis of a case to prepare for trial.
Attorneys of all levels are encouraged to attend this program, especially those beginning the career in family law or seeking to learn more about how to best support their clients through the divorce process.

- Explore how to draft the divorce complaint and answer, including how to fill out the client’s intake form
- Describe how to work with your client to get the information you will need to draft a settlement offer
- Learn how to conduct discovery in a divorce case
- Explain how to use a marital balance sheet and develop a parenting plan
