Understanding the Idaho CLE Requirement
Total CLE Requirement:
30 credit hours every three years
Credit Format:
15 hours must be taken live
15 may be completed online

27 hours General
3 hours Legal Ethics/Professionalism

December 31

Reporting Information:
TRTCLE reports to the Idaho State Bar on behalf of attorneys.
Newly Admitted Requirement:
Attorneys must complete 10 New Admittee Credit-Approved CLE credits, including the 4 required Idaho Substantive Law Courses, within 12 months following their admission to the Bar.
New admittees that have actively practiced law for less than 3 years prior to admission to the Bar must also complete the “New Attorney Program” within their first year of admission.
