About The Lecturer
Lauren Wu is a regulatory, compliance, and privacy attorney with deep expertise in U.S. and California privacy law, artificial intelligence governance, and data protection strategy. She has led global privacy and compliance programs within complex healthcare systems and advised organizations on navigating evolving regulatory frameworks, including CCPA/CPRA, federal sectoral laws, and emerging AI governance regimes.
Lauren’s work bridges legal doctrine and real-world application, with a focus on how systems design, surveillance technologies, and organizational incentives shape outcomes for individuals and communities. She has contributed to privacy education and legal scholarship, including coursework on the past, present, and future of U.S. privacy law, and regularly speaks on the intersection of law, technology, and human-centered leadership. Lauren is currently an adjunct professor of law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
She is also the founder of Heart Led Leadership, a framework focused on designing resilient, HEART-centered systems in high-performance environments.
