About The Lecturer

Diane Littlejohn, Esq., serves as Assistant Legal Counsel with the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts where she advises on legal and policy matters affecting the North Carolina court system. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she teaches Law Practice Technology and has developed and delivered courses on artificial intelligence, legal technology, legal ethics, data privacy, and the future of law practice.

Prior to joining the AOC, Diane served as the inaugural Executive Director of the Technology Law & Policy Center at NCCU School of Law, where she led initiatives focused on emerging technologies, AI governance, legal innovation, and technology access. She has presented numerous continuing legal education (CLE) programs for attorneys, judges, bar associations, law schools, and professional organizations on topics including generative AI, AI ethics, legal technology, cybersecurity, and law practice management.

In addition to her public service and academic roles, Diane previously maintained a solo law practice representing individuals and small businesses in intellectual property, business law, family law, and Social Security Disability matters. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and is passionate about helping legal professionals responsibly integrate emerging technologies into the practice of law.
