About The Lecturer
Eric L. Guthrie, Esq. is a Partner at The Cogent Law Group in Washington, D.C., where he advises clients on business strategy, legal compliance, and emerging technologies. He is also the President & CEO of Better ME Better WE and serves as the Director of Training Programs for the Government Blockchain Association (GBA). In addition, he is a DC Bar-accredited CLE trainer and a Certified Blockchain Trainer and Consultant through the Government Blockchain Association.
Mr. Guthrie is the author of Blockchain or Die: Learn to Profit from Cryptocurrencies and Blockchains, an Amazon #1 New Release and #1 Best Seller, and recipient of multiple national book awards, including the NYC Big Book Award and Independent Press Award. He is also the author of Diversify or Die: Diversity. Inclusion. Evolution. Success, a finalist for the American BookFest Best Business Book Award and the Readers' Choice Awards.
A recognized thought leader in blockchain, cryptocurrency, diversity, and leadership, Mr. Guthrie has delivered keynote addresses and presentations at major national and international conferences, including Crypto World Con, the Government Blockchain Association’s Future of Money, Governance and the Law Conference, the Washington Elite Blockchain A.I. Summit, the Energy Exchange Conference, and the Congressional Black Caucus Authors Pavilion. His international training engagements have taken him to Brazil, South Korea, Thailand, Tanzania, Rwanda, Hungary, Ecuador, Ethiopia, India, and Sri Lanka.
Mr. Guthrie holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Morehouse College. He is a Certified Training Director, Certified Diversity Executive, Adjunct Professor at the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute, and an experienced board development and leadership trainer.
