In this course, Mr. O'Donnell will discuss different standards that courts use regarding scientific evidence, beginning with the Frye Standard and how it changed over time, eventually leading to it being abandoned by state and federal courts after 1993 when the Daubert Standard was adopted. Mr. O'Donnell will analyze several real-life cases and the impact of the Supreme Court on those cases. He will go through Toxic Tort cases, Climate Issues, Res Ipsa Loquitur, Product Liability, and Disqualification of Experts, notably but not limited to. This is a relevant and interesting course for any attorney.
