In this course, Mr. Rowland and Mr. Tallmer discuss the importance of cybersecurity and data privacy for attorneys. Both experts in their respective fields of cybersecurity and technology, they begin this course by going through an overview of data privacy legislation, including but not limited to the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (“HITECH”) and the California Consumer Protection Act (“CCPA”). Mr. Rowland and Mr. Tallmer discuss American Bar Association Opinions, as well as the ethical concerns, strategies, and best practices for keeping client confidential information secure online.
