This course covers various aspects of the topic of mental health, with particular attention paid to how mental health issues present in the legal profession. It will consider how mental health issues affect marginalized groups as well as how this issue has changed, and become even more pressing, during the pandemic. Instructors will teach about mental health stigmatization, supporting colleagues in distress, mental health treatment options and the ethical implications of poorly managed mental health. This course will conclude with an overview of tools that attorneys can utilize to practice maintaining good mental health, such as meditation.
