Lecturer Bio

Kerry graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in psychology, received her J.D. from Pepperdine Law School and obtained her Certificate in Trauma Studies from the International Trauma Studies Program, affiliated with Columbia University. She is admitted to practice law in New York State. She has completed human rights fact-finding missions in Uganda, Rwanda, Northern Nigeria, the Thai-Burma border, Armenia, and Nagorno-Karabakh.  Over the past seven years, she has trained in mindfulness at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, OMGEA, the Mindful Based Stress Reduction program, the Insight Center, and in a monastery in Thailand. Her Mindful Mentors’ clients have included Yale University, Columbia School for Social Work, Cardozo Law School, Stern College, St. John’s University, Cornelia Connelly Center, Allen-Stevenson School for Boys, Arnold & Porter, LLP, as well as students and parents, patients coping with chronic pain, and a diverse range of professionals.
