Change is inevitable. Nowhere is this more apparent than when examining professionalism. Just when should lawyers be subjected to discipline and for that matter, is law the least diverse of all professions? Should leadership in a discriminatory club inevitably call for discipline or when is it appropriate to draw a line separating personal from professional conduct? Applying MR 8.2 and 8.4, where might such a line best be applied? This seminar copes with diversity within the legal profession and examines ways forfeiture in lieu of using the proverbial carrot/stick approach might be more appropriate.
