In this course, Lee Kim, Esq., a nationally recognized expert in cybersecurity will explore and thoroughly explain the key elements of privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property practice from technical, legal, and regulatory perspectives. Ms. Kim will provide a background on privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property from private practice and in-house counsel perspectives. She will demonstrate an understanding of key technical aspects and attendees will gain insight into the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and its global impact. Ms. Kim will outline the differences between cybersecurity and privacy and go over all of the implications and technical aspects of this practice. The course will conclude with recent developments that have taken place on the Hill and with Federal agencies related to cyber-security and critical infrastructure protection.
