AboutAbout This Course

In this course, Mr. Resko examines the nature of employer-employee relationship. It addresses common issues relating to at-will employment. It looks closely at how to effectively use employment handbooks and how to avoid wrongful discharge claims. It answers questions as to who is an employee or an independent contractor and examines the liabilities and obligations flowing from those classifications. Because these issues are so prevalent, there is a heavy emphasis on risk management for small firms. Whether wearing a counselor’s hat or a business hat, attorneys will face most of these issues, whether as part of their practice area or their own employment environment.
