AboutAbout This Course

With more emphasis than ever placed on disciplinary rules and “the law of lawyering”, various jurisdictions are requiring one hour annually of CLE on professionalism.  Training in substantive areas of the law is seen as enhancing competency as well, with emphasis on the Lawyer’s Creed and an aspirational statement on professionalism.  An examination continues the placement of ethics violations where a firm ‘loans’ an attorney to organizational clients.  Subsequent lawyer misconduct is examined in the social media venue, with the latter concept leading to further difficulty for professionals.  A final legal ethics quandary is explored where lawyers use others’ websites for marketing, examining ABA MR 7.3 (Solicitation of Clients).
