AboutAbout This Course

Are attorneys risk adverse or are they willingly participants when it comes to handling client trust?  This compendium of legal ethics challenges include SCOTUS banning personal fundraising by judicial candidates, as a D.C. court issues a disciplinary warning to prosecutors.  Other pertinent issues address the impact of jurisdictions that allow legal techs to become minority owners in law firms – and the ramifications of MR 5.4 contrasts with DC rules and those in other western countries.  With Maine but another jurisdiction banning nonrefundable fees, the crux of the antithesis of professionalism is considered looking at a plethora of changes affecting the practice of law, in particular as it affects legal ethics.
