Mediation is the most prevalent method of alternative dispute resolution. Understanding the basic theory of mediation enhances your ability to plan the strategy of your mediation session. This course examines mediation basics, including the availability of mediation by voluntary participation and court-mandated programs. The procedure of mediation includes choosing methodology, defining the mediator’s role, and understanding how the attorney and client interact in the mediation process.
